The eyes are drawn with stripes like doll eyes and they have a pupil rim. The pupil rim is the muscle which closes and opens
the human pupil in response to light or dark. The addition produces a much more natural appearance.
They are made correctly for modern dolls, too for Reborn-, Berenguer-, Apple-Valley- and Real life dolls.
